Angela Lee Duckworth: The key to success? Grit

After I saw this video, I learn a lot from it. The speaker told us what the key to success.
"One characteristic emerged as a significant predictor of success.  It wasn't social intelligence.
It wasn't good looks, physical health, and it wasn't IQ. It was grit. Grit is passion and perseverance for very long-term goals.  Grit is having stamina.  Grit is sticking with your future, day in, day out, not just for the week, not just for the month, but for years, and working really hard to make that future a reality.  Grit is living life like it's a marathon, not a sprint." she said

Although my English ability isn't as good as my CALL classmates, I can try to work hard to catch up them. I will take grit to be successful. I love English and so dost it.

Assignment5

After I watch Steve Jobs videos, I want to share my story to everybody.
One time my mom told me a thing, she wanted to take me to go out when I was a junior high school student in summer vacation. At first I feel so excited about going outside, because I had already stayed home for a long time. I feel very boring and I don't know what can I do.  I was satisfied that I could go outdoor. I sang a song and get on my mama's motorcycle. The destination is not far. It only take a little time and we reach the weird place. why did I say it's a odd place? Because I just see a row of buildings, not any interesting things. I feel so discouraged and I want to go home. But my mom said followed me, she take me upstairs. And I found a teacher was standing in front of me. I finally realize I was deceived by my mom. She wanted to let me learn table tennis. I was unwilling to learn something and I even wanted to flee away. But she is my mom, I can't do it. I stay and learn from my ping-pong teacher. At that time I hate my mom to deceive me. But now, I am so appreciate her to let me learn a different sport. Every time I go to my PE class, and teacher teach us table tennis.  No matter what she teaches I can do perfect pose. My classmates always say I'm excellent and ask me to teach them. I take pride in my table tennis skills.
Of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when I was in junior high school. But it was very, very clear looking backwards three years later.

3.Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.

4.Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice, and most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

Although Steve Jobs never graduated from college, all  his achievement, experience is worth learning. After I saw this video, I feel impressive. He is a successful superman.
