I think podcast is an useful learning resource. It provides all kinds of subject to learners. Everyone can choose topics they like. And the speaker in the podcast talk clearly. He talks three times. At first speed is slow , the second speaker will explain all article, the third speed is normal. So I can comprehend any topic clearly. If I don't know at the first time. I can listen it again and again.
Compare to another learning resource such as CNN or ICRT , I think ESL podcast is best. Because CNN and ICRT topics' vocabulary is a little difficult , I am not acceptable at present. The ESL podcast sometimes uses some word I don't understand, but speaker would interpret all of word in simple english. I really like it. It's a good learning resource.
It's important to find materials that fit your level, so you will feel more motivated to learn. Yes, CNN and ICRT might be challenging for most of the students.
